Tramuntana
Mountains falling into the Mediterranean. Ancient terraces, hidden coves and a way of life shaped by the land.

WHY TRAMUNTANA
Fournais began in Mallorca with a fascination for a landscape unlike anywhere else on the island.
Our founder fell in love with the Tramuntana — with its mountains falling into the Mediterranean, its ancient stone terraces, olive groves, small villages and a culture shaped by generations of working with the land.
What began as a connection to a place became something much bigger.
Today, this landscape is home to our destinations, our farms and much of the work behind Fournais in Mallorca.

More than 800 hectares. One living system.
The land
Across Mallorca, Fournais cares for more than 800 hectares of agricultural land — with a significant part of our work rooted here around Banyalbufar and the Tramuntana.
Explore
We are restoring soil, rebuilding biodiversity and bringing historic agricultural landscapes back into active cultivation.
Olives. Citrus. Vegetables. Herbs. Fruit. Poultry.
What the land can produce changes with place, altitude, soil and season.
What grows here, belongs here
Fournais agriculture
We don't begin by asking what we want to produce.
Explore
We begin by understanding what the land wants to grow.
Olives and citrus. Seasonal vegetables and fruit. Herbs and crops adapted to the Mediterranean climate.
Our regenerative approach starts below the surface — restoring soil health, increasing biodiversity and building landscapes that become more resilient over time.
The harvest then continues its journey into our kitchens.
From soil to table, without losing the story in between.

Book your stay
Wilder, greener and shaped by mountains that fall directly into the Mediterranean.
Days here are made to be spent outside.
Follow centuries-old paths through olive terraces and pine forests.
Hike into the mountains. Cycle the winding coastal roads. Swim from rocky coves. Kayak beneath the cliffs. Walk into Banyalbufar for lunch - and take the long way home.
This is a landscape best discovered slowly, actively and with curiosity.
